Randy Sherer (Owner)

Randy founded the company in 1978 after graduating Humboldt State University with a degree in Forestry. With a lawnmower, a push broom, an old pickup truck, and the spirit of an entrepreneur, he began to build his company into one of the top landscaping companies in Humboldt County. Offering landscape design, installation, and maintenance for the better part of 30 years before narrowing the focus of the company to strictly landscape maintenance. Running the company with the values of quality, integrity, abundance, and spirit, Randy has helped to beautify our neighborhoods and businesses with an uncompromising eye for quality in his work.

Dan Davis (Foreman)

Dan has been with Earth Care Landscaping since 2002, serving as landscape maintenance foreman since 2003. Dan began working in this field as a groundskeeper for the housing department while attending Humboldt State University. After college, Dan served as the groundskeeper for Mad River Hospital for three years before being employed by Earth Care. 

With close to 30 years experience maintaining residential and commercial landscapes, Dan has developed an expert knowledge of plant care and maintenance, as well as a deep knowledge of irrigation system maintenance and repair. 

Dan holds a Qualified Applicators Certificate with the State of California and is educated in the safe and effective use of pesticides and herbicides to treat common issues in the landscape.

Jared Omaha (Lead Maintenance Worker)

Jared has been with Earth Care Landscaping since 2017. He brought with him an excellent knowledge of turf care and maintenance from his 12 years working at Baywood Golf & Country Club, including 3 years as Assistant Superintendent.

While at Earth Care Jared has developed impressive skill at trapping moles and gophers, which has been a wonderful addition to the services we offer.

Amber Jones (Bookkeeper)

Amber has been with Earth Care Landscaping since 2006. Amber brings an expertise to her job as bookkeeper that helps keep our entire company working smoothly and efficiently. We couldn’t do what we do without her experience and knowledge.
